Ventilation:
- Adequate ventilation is crucial to ensure optimal performance and prevent premature failure.

Great tap and features. Only had this running a few days so long term can’t assess it. DIY install is straight forward using YouTube video. Plan to get wiring done in advance to make install quicker. Plan where units go in cupboards and filter/manifold so pipes reach.(Best in 1000mm unit two door type) This helps speed up installation. The other thing you should do is connect a lot of the pipes outside the cupboard as video shows guy with easy access to the back of unit in mock kitchen. Watch video first and you will see some connection to manifold/ water distribution unit can be done at same time and not in place in the cupboard. Also I added a vent in cupboard in suitable position prior to full installation. I went with one of the provided ones at back of kitchen unit as gap between wall and unit. The front has gap at kick board anyway but I may add extra vent to match other kitchen ones installed under freeze unit depending on how hot cupboard feels. So far it’s okay and no hotter than normal really. The digital lock is bit temperamental and doesn’t always disengage after 3 seconds. I have tried thumb and finger and same for me with both. My wife finds it easier but I have fat fingers so maybe that’s the issue? It’s safe which is main point however. The tap did drip occasionally after initial use but seems to do this occasionally now and is not an issue 90% of the time. I have seen if this is persistent you may need an additional valve to add from Aquataps. The nickel finish looks great as is the shape of the tap. It fits standard 35mm tap hole easily but it helps if you have spare pair of hands to help feeds everything neatly into the cupboard and tighten up the tap as it is very big and awkward to do on your own. Make sure you adjust the water heater unit up to 98 degrees to get best temp for tea and coffee. It’s set lower at 96 initially. I bought two CO2 canisters from Amazon after calling Aquataps to discuss best way to do it. The call was very helpful in my decision. (Also advised me about filter change to ensure guaranteed product).These cost £35 for two CO2 60 litre canisters suitable for sodastream( blue type). There are places in most towns you can exchange empty canister for refill at about £12-15 so not £35 for two all the time. Expensive item but considering half price of other manufacturers it’s good buy. Everything seems well made and high quality. I research everything I buy extensively before purchase and read customer reviews plus Trustpilot. So far very happy with my choice and service from team. My tap did not come next day as ordered between Christmas and New Year but quick call assured me it was on its way. I’d have given 5* but I haven’t had this long term and it is expensive. If you don’t think you’ll use the sparkling ( soda) water a lot get cheaper 4-1 tap. I will, so I opted for the more expensive unit. Hope this helps future buyers and the tap works well long term.
